Study the monsters of Rimor
Fate of Rimor has hundreds of unique monsters in the game, from over a dozen different biomes. Each creature has different abilities, attacks, and loot drops. The game is made to keep you on your toes every day
lycanrex
-
The Lycanrex is a massive T-rex werewolf hybrid that towers over T-rexes in size. standing at around 320 ft tall, size category Huge, created by the planet itself.
-
The Lycanrex is very intelligent. he will target anything that could harm him first, and he is extremely fast. He can run over a mile in less than a minute due to his sheer size and muscle and the fact that he is on a god-tier protein diet.
-
This creature lives in the Savanna of Ever Transition and is the apex predator of this habitat.
Nothing here dares even try to fight him; he is this biome’s boss fight and will roam randomly. Good luck if you just happen to roam past him.
-
The Lycanrex doesn’t have magical abilities; however, due to the werewolf genes, he is extremely fast and more than powerful enough to destroy an entire tank with little to no effort.
Stand clear of this one and be ready to dodge his attacks; otherwise, you won’t last long.
-
He will drop top-tier loot that can be used to enhance vehicle armor and create extremely durable plates of armor for suits, mechs, tanks, and many other forms of protection.
-
He is threat level 10, 1 level below the highest threat level. He will require your best, top-notch gear, abilities, and coordination to bring him down.
Puredread
-
Puredread lives within the forest of nightmares. He is pure darkness incarnate. He is the alpha of this forest, and all bend to his will.
Anything that dare attack him ceases to exist and becomes nothing more than the fog he walks in.
-
Puredread is an apex predator, but far more psychological than physical in nature. It rarely chases prey — it horrifies it into paralysis. It can induce hallucinations, alter perception, and create phantom threats to isolate and exhaust intruders.
Idle Behavior: It vanishes into the fog, watching silently. Birds fall silent. The wind ceases. The forest itself recoils.
Hunting: It projects false sounds, shadow doppelgängers, and illusory terrain, creating disorientation before striking.
Communication: Emits guttural sounds that resemble whispers in a lost language. Some who hear them go mad; others claim to “understand something that wasn’t meant for mortals.”
-
Biome & Habitat
Biome: Forest of Nightmares
Terrain Affinity: It can only be fully manifested within its forest. Outside it, it weakens and becomes a whispering echo.
The forest obeys it. Trees shift to block escape. Fog thickens to hide it. Creatures flee before it arrives.
Night never truly lifts here — the light bends unnaturally, and puredread moves between the folds of the biome, bypassing normal movement or pathing.
-
Combat Traits
Dark Pulse Roar: Emits a scream that causes fear-based debuffs (screen distortion, input lag, hallucinations).
Reality Ripper: Phases through solid matter and warps space, allowing it to strike from impossible angles.
Bloodroot Grasp: Summons corrupted roots from below to immobilize, bleed, and drain targets.
Phantom Storm: Summons clones made from fog and shadow. They do light damage but confuse tracking and lock-on systems.
Cosmic Resistance: Near immune to illusion, poison, and mind-affecting abilities. Weak only cosmic abilities and cosmic-embued weapons.
-
He will drop materials used to help create curse-resistant armor and the material needed to create the curse core, an upgrade to put on vehicles to give them curse resistance against the biomes’ darkness.
-
Apex—Existential Threat
"If you see him, it's already too late."
Requires a full squad, prepared mentally and strategically.
Must manage sanity mechanics and party cohesion to avoid psychological breakdowns.
Heavily tied to Rimor’s “Ecosystem Awareness Protocol” — defeating him causes a brief lull in forest hostility, but also awakens greater threats beneath the biome.
ShadowStalker
-
The shadowstalker lives in the forest of nightmares. Everywhere it goes, it has a forever fog shrouding it in the mist. It can mostly only be seen as an outline in the fog, as it never leaves the fog. It hunts in the fog and will be very stealthy in it. It has 8 legs like a spider but a human-esque torso. It will stab you with its legs and cause harsh piercing damage. and will cause you to see illusions and make you think you are fighting him, but instead you are just tripping.
-
The ShadowStalker is very intelligent and knows where you are at all times. He will appear out of nowhere, create a storm of fog, and then lurk in the fog until he can strike.
He is patient and will not strike unless he knows he will not be noticed
-
Forest of Nightmares: The second forest biome is the opposite of the first forest biome. A forest with a dark cloud permanently over it. All the creatures here are dark aberrations and shadows of real creatures but are pure blood. This is a very dangerous biome, where only the strongest and bravest go. Or the dumbest. However, the creatures that live here are made of a rare organic material that is very, very useful for technology. And, the biome is extra mysterious, like something dark is making the forest the way that it is. But yet, for whatever reason, the forest is beautiful as it is dark. Where it feels like the things here don’t want to do what they are forced to do? Like they are controlled and have no autonomy and don’t control their actions. The forest curses anything that goes in it and takes control of it, turning it into an aberration. However, very few creatures of pure light can exist without a curse here. Humans are one of these creatures. Humans can go into the forest for a short time and resist the curse. However pure-hearted you are, the less time you can be in the forest. The more pure-hearted you are, the longer you can live in the forest.
